Printing method

Rotary digital printing for round promotional products.

Rotary digital printing transfers UV ink directly onto selected cylindrical products. It supports detailed full-colour artwork and close spot-colour approximations across a large wraparound print area.

Method guide

Advantages, limitations and artwork requirements.

Use this method when colour detail and coverage matter more than the lowest possible decoration cost.

Why choose it

Advantages

  • Well suited to large or complex full-colour designs
  • Prints are dry and ready for dispatch immediately
  • Only one setup is normally required regardless of colour count
  • Artwork remains vibrant on compatible dark products

Before choosing

Limitations

  • Production can be slower than simpler print methods
  • Metallic, neon and fluorescent colours cannot be reproduced
  • A small gap remains between the start and end of the wrap print
  • Usually costs more than standard spot-colour methods

Production ready

Artwork requirements

  • Vector or bitmap artwork can be supplied
  • Bitmap files should be at least 300 DPI at final print size
  • Convert fonts to outlines or objects
  • Greatrex will confirm the wrap area and unavoidable print gap

How ordering works

Start with the product, then choose the decoration.

The right print method depends on the product material, shape, print area, logo detail, number of colours, quantity and deadline.

  • Choose the product or send Greatrex the product type you need.
  • Share your logo, quantity, required date and delivery location.
  • Greatrex checks the decoration method and prepares the quote path.

Is Rotary digital printing suitable for every product?

No. The product material, shape and print area decide whether rotary digital printing is suitable. Greatrex can check this before quoting.

What artwork file should I send?

A vector logo file is best where available. PDF, EPS, AI or SVG files usually give the cleanest result, but Greatrex can review what you have.

Can Greatrex help choose between print methods?

Yes. Send the product, quantity, logo and deadline, and Greatrex can recommend the branding method that best fits the product and budget.
